Southern Okie Gourmet Apple Spread Apple Pie

Ingredients

Pie

  • 4 medium-sized apples, sliced thin
  • 1 Tbs lemon juice
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp allspice
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 Tbs cornstarch
  • ½ cup Southern Okie Gourmet Apple Spread

Topping

  • 1 cup pecans
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter, softened

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Combine pie ingredients in bowl and mix well.
  3. Unroll pre-made, thawed pie crust in pie pan. Pour pie ingredients into crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine topping ingredients, using a mixer or cutting in the butter by hand or with a pastry cutter.
  5. Evenly distribute topping on pie.
  6. Cover pie with foil and bake for 50 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove foil and continue baking until topping is brown.
